Purpose

Superplasticizing, water-reducing admixture "Anti-freeze additive MO 6" - MTC Concrete is a high-plasticizing, water-reducing additive. It accelerates the hydration and hardening kinetics of concrete and mortars, with an anti-freeze effect.

The MO 6 additive, MTC Concrete TM, is used for:

  • the production of ready-mixed concrete for construction at low ambient temperatures (from +5°C to -15°C);

  • the production of reinforced concrete products by any methods with early stripping, including pre-stressed concrete products;

  • the production of road concrete, concrete for industrial floors during winter;

  • the production of waterproof concrete, resistant to frost and salts;

  • improving the appearance and physical-mechanical properties, particularly for products with high surface quality requirements.

The anti-freeze additive MO 6 - MTC Concrete improves the properties of fresh and hardened concrete.

Properties

The MO 6 additive, MTC Concrete TM, gives flowability to freshly prepared concrete, which in turn allows increasing the consistency or reducing the water demand to improve compressive or tensile strength and provides the following:

  • acceleration of hydration processes despite low ambient temperatures;

  • achieving sufficient strength (more than 5 MPa/mm²) at low temperatures;

  • improved workability of concrete mixes;

  • reduced curing time and lower temperature of thermal processing;

  • the possibility of pumping concrete with pumps;

  • significant improvement in technical characteristics of concrete;

  • level, smooth concrete surfaces;

  • increased early and final strength;

  • cement savings of up to 10% compared to the original non-additive formulation.

Dosage

Recommended dosage: 0.4 - 2.0% of the cement mass.

+5°C to -5°C: 0.4 – 1.0% of the cement mass
-5°C to -10°C: 1.0 - 1.5% of the cement mass
-10°C to -15°C: 1.5 – 2.0% of the cement mass

The optimal dosing depends on the required properties of the concrete and is determined experimentally.

Application

Important! Do not add to dry concrete mix!

Frequently asked questions
What raw materials are used in the production of this product?

Long before launching our own production in 2007, the MTC Concrete team began a thorough search for the highest quality raw material suppliers. Thanks to the extensive experience of our in-house R&D centre, we have established reliable and lasting partnerships with top-tier producers—both in Ukraine and across the EU—recognised as industry leaders.

Direct sourcing from raw material manufacturers ensures the consistent quality of MTC Concrete products, while long-term collaboration allows us to confidently refer to these companies not merely as suppliers, but as true Partners.

Where can I see customer reviews about this product?

In the B2B and B2G market segments, customer reviews are rarely published, as the dissemination of information about the approaches and results of using specific admixtures often constitutes a commercial secret.

We believe that the best testimonial for a product is a successfully implemented project where the product was used. Reports on such projects are published after completion, subject to agreement with our partners. You can find all available reports in the “Information” section, or directly under the product if there is already an applicable experience that can be shared.

Does this product have all the necessary certificates?

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Provision of Construction Products on the Market" (effective from 1 January 2023) and Order No. 594 of the Ministry of Regional Development, dated 27 March 2025, which approves the current List of National Standards including DSTU EN 934-2:2019, a certificate of conformity is no longer a mandatory document for concrete admixtures.

Instead, manufacturers are required to provide a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and apply CE marking (Conformité Européenne). The CE mark confirms that the product complies with European standards for safety and quality.

Consequently, to place concrete admixtures on the Ukrainian market, adherence to European norms and standards is necessary, rather than the previous mandatory certification requirements.

The manufacturing plant where this product is manufactured meets the requirements of the international standard ISO 9OO1:2O15 "Quality management systems. Requirements" (DSTU ISO 9001:2015 "Quality management systems. Requirements", IDT).

Is it possible to get a free consultation on this product?

Of course, you can get a free preliminary consultation either at the office of the "Koalida" company or fill out a request via the form on the Contacts page. You can also get advice from a technical specialist by calling the phone number: 077-500-11-00.

In our product range you will find solutions for almost any type of concrete mixtures and mortars that meet all quality and reliability requirements.
